Revalidating Visa and obtaining H4

Hello,

a) I had worked for company A and had gotten my visa stamped on my passport for the same company till October 2004.

b) I had switched to a different company B and that company has transfered my h1 and had gotten all the paper work. I have gotten the I797 paper with the validity is till October 2005.

c) I am getting married in June and I need to secure a H4 visa for my spouse. Do I have to revalidate my visa for the new company B so as to obtain H4 for my spouse? Can I revalidate and obtain a h4 at the same time?

any insights into this would be greatly appreicated.

1) You dont have to revalidate your H1 visa to that of the new company but it is better if you do.

2) Yes , both of you can go for your new visa stamping at the same time...I did this
in may 2002
