Revalidate H1b before NIW application?

Was having applied for GC a problem for getting your H1b revalidation stamp?

Hi all supercool :cool: people here,
I am about to apply for my NIW GC. One sticking point though. I was on H1b of which the first three years (and the H1b stamp) expired last month. I have the new notice of approval to extend it for further three years ready. Is it better that I make a trip to home country (India) and get the new H1b stamp before applying for the NIW-GC?
I heard that it may be a problem getting your H1b stamp once U have applied for GC since it means that you intend to immigrate!
Thanks a lot in advance for any advice.
 
H1B1 is a dual intent visa

There is nothing wrong in filing for GC while being under H1B. Otherwise 99% of people on this forum would be in trouble.
