Returning to the USA for a holiday after abandoning Conditional Permenant Residency?

I am an Australian Citizen and I was a Conditional Permanent Resident. I would have become a Permanent Resident in November 05 if I did not leave my husband (US Citizen) and return to Australia. That happened in August. I never began processing of removal of conditions forms, mostly because I knew the split was imminent.

I now want to go back to the USA just for a holiday and to visit friends for a couple of weeks this year. Can I just do the I-90/Visa Waiver or will I run into issues?

I still have the GC. I am Australian though, not from the UK...and that asks you to post it to the embassy in London.
 
Thanks. I called the US embassy here (at $11, grrr) and they said I need to email my question to another sector. That's the ONLY contact method they have and they couldn't give me a time frame for an answer. Thanks for your help.
