In 2021, I was fortunate enough to have my H1B visa selected through the lottery. I arrived in the USA in August 2022 and my visa is valid until September 2024.
However, due to a family matter, I need to return to India in September 2024. I will ask my employer not to extend my visa but I will continue working for the same employer from India.
Question:
After spending one year in India (by 2025), can my employer file for an extension? If so, what is the process for that?
