Return to US on I-551 - URGENT

We are currently out of the country for a couple of weeks visit to the family. My husband and I both have I-551 stamps on our passports and haven't received our Plastic cards yet. Our country is one of the listed countries for additional security check. When we arrive to the port of entry, do we use the U.S citizens' lane or the temporary visa holder's lane?

Please let me know. We depart in less than 24 hours so please repond.

We arrived back safely last week. We went to the U.S Citizens line after asking the immigration officers guiding the travelrs since there was no indication of "Permenant Residens".

We were however asked to go the immigration office since the stamp couldn't be verified at the counter or something.

We had to wait for about 15 minutes. We were only asked one question and that was regarding the reason for not carrying the actual card. When we told her that we haven't recieved the card yet, it was somewhat shocking to her that it has already taken over 8 months and we still don't have it yet. So, I guess if an INS employee doesn't know about how INS operates, who are we to claim...
