I need HELP

my husbands parents came to canada in 1966 and went back to portugal in 1984 after having my husband 1980 in london ont

well my father in law has pass away and my mother inlaw wants to come back but all she has is a social insurance number and three other children born in portugal I was told if we find out they are citzen still today the other three children are imm citzen due to staus of mom and dad

she want to come back here but dont know what to do

Did she take out Canadian citizenship, if so then she can return at any time and the children born after her taking out citzenship are also Canadian citizens. If she did not take out citizenship, then she has lost her Permanent Residence status and your husband will have to sponsor her. See: www.cic.gc.ca
