Return to a different employer after CP

Hi,

I have had my CP done recently and have an IV visa stamp on my passport. On my return to US, is it mandatory to work for my sponsor for 6 months? Does IV not allow you to work for a different employer immediately on entry? My concern is that my sponsor had to find a client for me while I already have an full time offer. Please suggest what needs to be done.

I have not received any response, but I wanted to post an update from my lawyer.

According to my lawyer in Boston, I need to enter US with the intention to work for my sponsor. Also, it is best to work for my sponsor for atleast a few months before making any change. I will follow her advice and stick to my sponsor to enter US.
