Hi,

My wife and I are going to GC interview based on marriage on April 10th.

We have everything together but TAX return. She said that (also based on IRS regulation) since I got my SS# in December, She still could claim head of household. So, she went ahead and filed the tax byherself

My lawyer already said that without the TAX together, my interview can be a DISASTER

Please, I'm very worry!!!!!!!

Anyone have been or heard about goint to GC interview like mine, w/o TAXES????????

Its not a big issue and any good CPA can fix this issue. But pls never lie in front of the officer. If you tell them the truth they realize and they know it very well.
I dont think its going to be a big issue. So relax and control yourself. Everything is under control.
Do let us know when you get your GC.

Good Luck.

I don't understand your post very well  ...your wife didn't file 2004 taxes? If you are not ready to file the 2005 you can still take with you the 2004 tax return and transcripts. Plus the 2005 W2, employment letter and last paystubs. Anyway by April 30th if I am not wrong, is the dateline for 2005 taxes.

Good luck,
