Returing immediately to INDIA after entering on F1

Hi,

I'm having my F1 visa and coming this Fall in August. My college starts on 21st of August. Due to a personal reason there is a chance for me to return to INDIA and never return on F1 visa. But, I'll return at the earliest between August 19th and August 25th.

If I had to return back to INDIA during the time period specified above and in future if I apply for any visa to US, does this immediate F1 return record affect it?

Anybody, please respond soon. I need to make an immediate decision.

Thanks in advance,

You get into trouble when you overstay your visit. If you are going to enter the US on the F1, and then immediately, you will still need to report to your school and make sure they take the appropriate steps in SEVIS to terminate your record.

If not, USCIS and the embassy may get suspicious as to why you entered under F1, but never reported to the designated school then left shortly afterward. So if you report to your school and made sure they terminate your SEVIS record, you should be ok in the future.
