Read the Details of my case, Basically waiting for a final approval since
Nov,2004 after FP is done,
Caught on with Re-trogression and my case was not even touched for the past 5 months. May 1st, My PD becomes current.
So, I called up VSC May 3rd:
Call on 3rd May: Nice Lady. Very polite. She told me that my case was put in Visa not available shelf. VSC made a mistake. Case will be put back to Visa Available shelf since it is available for your priority date. In the intial statge of the call, she though interpretted the current PD date as June, 2001 and not June, 2002 but then realized that she interpreted that wrong. I ended up the call on the note that my case has been put into right shelf and will be picked up by adjudicator.
Called again on 13th May since didn't get any Letter or LUD:
Nice guy. Again Polite enough. He said it is still waiting some adjudicator and everything looks good. I asked about Name Check and he said it has been done. He says its waiting to be picked up by an adjudicator. Alright, I kept the phone down now with the hope something will happen soon.
On May 23rd received a letter from VSC dated 19th May:
The letter says that Visa Number is not available for my case is my PD is May, 2002 and they are processing June, 2001 (Gosh, the same mistake some one made which was done by the lady whom i spoke first time).
May 24th: Another call to VSC after i received the letter:
Very polite and helpful lady. I told her the whole story and the letter. She was surprised that what the hell is going on. She traced back and she did see that someone on 3rd did put my case out of Visa not available bucket but someone else interpret the PD date wrong again and Put it back. Gosh, Pretty crazy stuff.
Anyways, She tells me now that she spoke with her supervisor and Her supervisor has physically put the case onto the right shelf. But now she tells me another bad news that my case is pending "some security checks"
I asked her whether its Name Check or FP results or what is it specifically.
She just kept saying "Security checks". The previous rep. did tell me that my name check is being cleared. But now I don't know who to believe.
Anyways, this call was ended on a note that my and my spouse case has now been out of Retrogression case and has been put into security checks bucket. What Scecurity checks ... God only knows ????
I told her that VSC is processing now June, 2004 and my case is Jan, 2004 so i am already lagging 6 months. She says she will talk to her supervisor about it. As far as security checks are concerned, It might take 90 to 120 days.
God knows.. what to expect out of this whole process.....
Neyways, Can't do much .. Just can wait for things to happen .. Will surely call again in 2 to 3 weeks.
Any comments appriciated... I strongly suggest guys whose dates have now become current after retrogression to call VCS. See other threads as how to reach VSC.
