Retention of Green Card

My parents got their family-based green cards through me in 2010 with the intention of living here permanently. Since then, there have been some changes and they will be able to stay in the US for only about 2 to 4 months in a year.

1) Should they surrender their GCs voluntarily, since they will not be able to stay for majority of the time in US?

2) If they keep the GC, but only stay in the US for 2 to 4 months in a year, will USCIS revoke the GC due to intention of abandonment?

3) If they surrender the GC or it is revoked by USCIS, will there be any issues in using their existing visitor visa (valid till 2105) or a new visitor visa to travel to US?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Will there be an issue getting a new visitor visa, after the GC is surrendered or revoked?

It's easy to get a tourist visa after voluntarily surrendering the GC. They can even apply for the visa in the same visit to the consulate when surrendering the GC. But if the GC is forcibly revoked, getting the visa won't be so easy.
