Retain previous priority date after I-140 approval.

I know that it is possible to change Employer's after I-140 approval even if I-485 has not yet been filed (because of retrogression). For that I will have to apply for PERM again with the second Employer, although I will be able to retain the priority date of my I-140 approval with the first Employer.
My question is I have applied for LC through RIR EB-3 (and NOT PERM) with the second employer. Will I be able to retain the priority date of my I-140 approval with the first employer and continue with the second employer and file for I-485 with the priority date of the LC of the first employer?
Please let me know.

You will need to file PERM afresh and once that gets approved, you can use your previous priority date to file for 140 and 485.
