Response to my INQUIRY....

Hey guys, my wife just called me and told me that a letter from BCIS came in the mail as a response to my case inquiry on April 19th (before my wife was approved on April 26). It's funny because my congressman has not been able to get status on my case for 2 months and I got an answer by myself.

Anyway, the note says: "Your case has been assigned to an officer". What does this mean? that doesn't tell me much.

Anyway, I guess I just need to continue waiting.

Peace and Love to everyone.

Thanks.

elmerjazz,

I am in the same boat. Primary approved on 3/26 but dependent is not. After inquiry, we found out the dependent case was assigned to an officer in Feburary. No update until now.

And more scary thing, I read from somewhere in this forum that once your case is assigned to an officer, any further inquiry is useless, either from attoney or congressman. They will repeat the same message again & again.

Your fate is really up to that officer, your case could be approved in a few days or in a few months if not years, it's really random.

You are right, all you can do it waiting, and may god on our side.

Hello freedom21

Do you think this message (Your case has been assigned to an IO for review) means that our "Name check" has been completed?
