Response from Senator

I contacted the Senator's office recently asking him to check the status of my case with USCIS Texas Service Center and I got a response from his office stating that they had contacted USCIS and included a copy of their response which stated "The cases are currently enroute to an officer for review. Your constituent should be receiving notification of the officer's decision within 14-30 days."

Has anyone else received a similar response? I hope what they've stated is true and I get my green card within the next month :)

deena,

We had contacted our congressman's office. We initially got a letter from then in Oct that they contacted the USCIS and our namecheck is pending. Monday this week we received a call from the same office that they learnt our FBI background checks have been cleared and forwarded to the Washington DC (??!!) office on Oct 16. We called TSC multiple times and everytime the IO repeated that FP and NC (on Oct 29) are clear and the case is with an officer. But we did not get any info when a decision would be made. When asked we were told to keep checking the online status.
