response from Congressman office

I made a inquiry on FBI name check through my congressman office, but they checked with INS frist, and came back to me, saying, since visa number is not available anyway, it does not make sense to push FBI for name check. The excuse is obviously radiculous from our point of view, but the lady insisted on not taking actions at this time. Anybody had similar experience since the retrogression? I wish I contacted them before 10/1:(
 
I had the exact same response from my senator in Washington state.

The senator's immigration person said something like, "FBI is not going to do any checks because of retrogression".

What she said was plain stupid. But I couldnt say much.

Have you tried other congressman/senators ?

Guys,

My case was filed at TSC and I have run into a lot of problems because of mistakes made by TSC. I was on the brink of getting a Congressman invloved but did not go through with it because the dates retrogressed. It is a well known fact that the USCIS will use any excuse in order to get people of their back. I know that if I get a Congressman to act on my case right now the standard reply will be that my case is not eligible for approval because of retrogression. I am planning on going all out once my PD becomes current. I am holding of till then.

Isn't this ridiculos? The reason we all go to the congressman and others is because FBI did not clear name check when the PD was current. What has retrogession has to do with name check. I feel very sorry for a lack of common sense among most of the people in this country. No wonder why other countries are moving forward so quickly than here.
 
Exactly!

I am stuck in retrogression because my name check has been pending for close to a year!! That is the only reason!!

So if FBI starts on its work load after dates are current does that mean a person has to wait for retrogression to clear (potentially a few years maybe 5) + 2 or more years for FBI to clear their case. Its like serving a sentence in some virtual prison.

That excuse is so lame!!
