I Got Married In 2000 And I Send For My Husband Papers In 2001 And They Said That It Was Going To Take 550 Days, The Only Thing I Got Back Was The Receipt Paper. Does Anyone Know Any Other Way To Deal With This Matter So At Least He Can Apply For A Work Permit.

No one can give direct details without your mentioning of your status. Are you a green card holder or a citizen? If you are only a GC holder, this is NOT the forum to discuss (not 50% at least). Hey, I am sending papers to my husband, what will happen? That sort of questions will only give zero answers or responses.

Importantly, try to ask politely. We are not here as your servants. None of your words imply any politeness or respect to people. "Hey tell me what is that! Give the info to me or else... " type of questions will get you no where either here or in the real world. This is important to note since you are dealing with immigration people. The basic thing to learn is how to say thanks and that too nicely and politely.

Good luck!
