Hi everybody
I have applied for I485, I140, EAD and AP in 2006 at Texas Service Center.
Till nowI have got I140, EAD and AP approved but haven't heard anything about I485 from TSC.
I did small research about I485 and namecheck and following are my findings, and I invite everybody to put their experiance and research in this namecheck to this thread:
1)When you apply for I 485, your name check process starts immediately after notice date (i.e.Date at which TSC accepts your application and sends you notice for it)
2) We all wait for TSC to send us Finger Printing notice and this notice has nothing to do with USCIS update of I485 processing time. (Currently they are processing Sept 9, 2005 cases).
3)Name Check for applicants can take from few weeks to few years but by my observation majority of applicants get their name check done in few months of processing of their case.
4) Those cases who are stuck in name check, try through congressman or senators to get an update of their case from FBI
5)As per my observation nobody could find a status by contacting directly to FBI but few could find the status by goign through Senators but again its not garunteed.
If any of you ave anymore information about this pls feel free to add in this thread and kindly make it specific to Texas Servise Center so readers don't get confused.
