Rescheduling interview date...Is this possible?

Hello JoeF, Ysu and others..

I was looking at other people time-lines for Minneapolis/NSC for N-400 process and based on that I came up with aprox. date for my interview - around May 25th time frame.

If everything goes well, I should be notified about my interview around March 25th. Not sure though if this happens.

My problem is I might have to leave for India on April 25th and will be coming back on May 20th. This is cutting it very close.

What happens if I land up with an interview while I am in India. I can have someone check my mail and inform me. Is their a way that I can call USCIS and reschedule my interview?

Please let me know If you have heard anyone rescheduling their interview.

1) not sure how you come up the May 25. It is interesting. I never even guessed when my interview date would be.
2) does it worth to reschedule? it is none of my business.. but if you go back to india for vacation, and get the interview notice during the trip, geez, cut your vacation short and come back.
3) i believe you would have to write to them or get an infopass to resechedule.

unless medical or life / death situation, i hardly believe ppl would reschedule their interview appointment because trip to oversea.

You sure can have your mail checked by someone you trust (obviously) and have them inform you if indeed your interview letter were to arrive during your absence. Then if it is REALLY required to reschedule it, you CAN do it by calling CIS on their customer service number or by writing to them your intent. They will reschedule it for you. When will you be rescheduled?? (This question is worth millions of dollars!)

Application sent - 12/28/05
PD - 12/29/05
NOA - 1/14/06
FP Notice - 2/3/06
FP Date - 2/25/06

I interview date is yet to come.

I guess you will know at the interview if your name check is done. BTW, if you do a search for St. Paul you will find a recent timeline.
