After a long wait, we finally got an interview appointment for my mother at US Embassy in Mumbai for her Green Card Interview on Dec 12, 2022. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend and we, therefore, requested a reschedule. For requesting a reschedule we followed the instructions provided by Embassy (1) Created the Account at the ustravelvisa site and registered the original appointment (2) Send an email requesting reschedule.
We were asked to wait for the interview date (Dec 12) to pass and after that login back into the portal and reschedule to the available date. When I went into the portal and tried to schedule, what I am able to reschedule is stated as an OFC appointment. I think this is a photo and fingerprinting appointment. I am not able to clearly understand if the OFC appointment is the same as the interview appointment or if there is another way to reschedule the interview.
I will greatly appreciate it if anyone with experience in rescheduling interviews can kindly guide me here. I will greatly appreciate it.
