Rescheduling Citizenship Test from Abroad

If one misses the Citizenship Test, is it possible to re-schedule the test from abroad and what is the procedure / rules for it?

The contact no. given by CIC for this purpose on their web-site is a toll free number which can only be dialed from within Canada. Don't they have an e-mail address or fax no. which can be used for re-scheduling?

How early can one get a new test date after contacting them?

If CIC does not hear from you, how long will they wait before closing your file?

Following advice has been useful:

Here is the way to contact the CIC from outside North America:

Phone: +1 613 944 4000
Option: 2 (transfer you to CIC)

Then follow the instructions.
