Requesting oath date

Hello All,

My citizenship interview is scheduled for 5/30/07 in Boston. After the interview I will be away from the country till the end of July.

After the interview, can we request the Immigration officer to schedule the oath after specific date?

Please share your experience related to this situation.

At the end of interview when the officer congratulated me on passing the citizenship interview, I requested him to arrange for my Oath after July. Since they were not providing appointments later than July at that time, he informed me that I will receive the appointment letter for Oath by mail.

I received my appointment letter for Oath by mail. My oath is scheduled for August 2nd.
