Request to re-do medical

It seems that they are asking more and more people to re-do their medicals. Does everyone have to do their medicals twice? Do the medicals also expire? I submitted my medical with my intial application. My ND was Dec. 99, I will be re-doing my FP soon, and have not received any RFE so far!

If your ND is Dec 99..You should be processed by now..have you talked to CIS?

Yeh, I did. My FPs expired awhile ago, I'm scheduled to re-do my FPs soon. They may process my case after receiving my FPs; that is, if they are nice enough not to send me RFE!

Here is what I found out, actually the web site is pretty good:

MEDICAL EXAM RESULTS ARE GENERALLY VALID FOR ONLY 12 MONTHS

However, the list of physicians is outdated. Some are not working any more.

I dont think they follow it correctly though. I know of people who submitted in 1999 with medicals and were approved without asking for new ones...Its another CIS rules...whenever they feel like it they implement it..Its like going to the airport..Some airport require you take off shoes..some dont..!

i agree with wantmyGcnow...cuz i know some of my friends applied in 1999
and did'n have to get medical again.
