Request to Rajiv S. Khanna regarding Local District processing timeline

Dear Mr. Rajiv Khanna,
Is it possible to request BCIS to have local districts disclose processing times every month like the service centers. Most of the local district DO NOT disclose (for example Philadelphia) and even if some do, the times look unreasonable or not updated frequently.

I know that most of the districts are not fully staffed/funded but the least they could do us is, keep us posted on a regular basis.

Any help would to greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Philly dude.

P.S. Members, if you have any comments/concerns please post.

Not his fault

PhillyDude,

If I'm not mistaken, Rajiv S. Khanna and whole lot of other immigration sites get the processing times of local CIS offices from AILA (www.aila.org). CIS does not publish these!
AILA gets them by polling their attorney members and make some kind of average out of them. If there isn't an AILA member reporting from Philly that's when there's no report from Philly.

Dude, I've been wathing these number for awhile now. Some of them are pretty accurate, but the sampling of others is so small that they no value wathsoever. As an example... in may, San Jose was at 180 days, in June it was at 400. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it.:(

You have a better chance of getting the feel of processing time from real people on the forums like this.

Good luck!

George,
I am not saying its Rajiv's fault. What I am saying is, instead of relying on member attorneys, why don't we request BCIS to report the numbers from the local offices on a regular basis.
San Antonio had it as 30-60 days up until last month, which is unrealistic.
This could be another step towards providing better service by BCIS.

If they could know they would post. I don't think they can do it. The processing times, that are published twice a month or so come from the service centers. Local district offices deal with naturalization.

Here in SF and SJ there are liasion meetings between attorneys and CIS happening every 6 months (I believe). There the local office informs them about the processing times.

I don't disagree. It would be great! Just being realistic

The timings do vary.. I think it varies by person.. For example
Andrez got his in under 10 months and Liberty in 13....

I hope you and I and the other in Phila get it in the lower limit mentioned on the n400 (8 months)!!!
