Request to postpond fingerprint dates..

Hi,

I am facing the unusual problem here , I have applied my N-400 this week and for some family emergency reasons I have to travel to my home country in DEC for a month. I am worried that I may miss my fingerprint dates. As for now I have not received any Fingerprint dates from BCIS office, but as per my knowledge its 3 months for Detroit.

Does anyone know if we can postpond or request for specific dates for fingerprints. Can anyone with similar situation share their knowledge /experience please.

You will def. get before dec but to answer your q, yes u can reschedule it.

I know few ppl. who just walked in earlier and they did it.
 
I got my finger printing done with in 6 weeks of filing my n-400 application.

On your FP, there is an option where u can check and
send if u want to postpone... Get someone to receive the app
for u and tick and send it back... If not write to your svc
ctr with your ESC number and request for a date after dec
