Request to bring missing infomration to interview

I read somewhere that if the GC interview is family based, where the petitioner and beneficiary have to be there, and there is missing information that the petitioner could bring to the interview. If this is the case, something missing in the file, would USCIS send out a request or RFE if they wanted the petitioner to bring a missing document to the interview?

Unlikely. If it is something that is absolutely necessary (e.g., birth cert) then RFE has to be closed before interview letter is even sent out. But, it is likely that after the interview the IO may ask to send more documentation.
