Request for passport for immiigration stamping

Hello,

I applied almost 2 years ago and finally yesterday I recivied a letter from canadian consulte requesting my wife's and my passport for immigration stamping. It reads in the letter that "not sending the passport in 30 days will result in delaying of the process" and if not entered canada on or before the date that will be specified on the passport will result in revoking the immigration status and a new application would need to be filed.

My wife and my US immigration is in process and we don't want to go to canada due to potential problems (security clearance)in coming back (yes we are from Pakistan!)

Can anyone advise us on how to delay the process. I was thinking about not sending the passports for 4-5 months (since according to the letter it will only delay the process) Has anyone been succefull in delaying their process, some how?

You can delay the process by not sending your passports. Dont know if someone has intentionally done this but I have read about people who's passport request letter was misplaced or lost in the mail. When they inquired about the status of their case after a couple of months they were issued a new passport request.

BUT make sure your medicals dont expire otherwise you will have to redo them and wait for more time to get passport request.
