Hi,
My partner has been going through the DV2004 process to obtain her greencard. I forget the most recent form but she sent of a check, copy of passport, proof of immunization, photos and so on (could have been an I-485).
Today we received from the CIS a "Request for Initial Evidence" which stated that the missing initial evidence was:
Copy of Passport (sent already)
Photos (sent already)
Form I-864 Affadavit of Support
Employment Letter
Evidence of eligibility including I-130 or I129F
I am so completely confused and extremely worried as time is running out. Why would forms I-864 or I-130 be required for a DV greencard? Is there anything we can do? Her employer is NOT sponsoring this application (I did not think they could given that it is a DV visa).
Any help you can provide at this extremely stressful time would be appreciated.
Regards
UKMatt
