This is visitor visa related question. I couldn't find any forum for Visitor Visa questions. I aplogize for posting this question here. Please try to answer.
One of my friend applied for a visitor visa for his brother and sister-in-law. He is a US citizen. Last week they went to Chennai consulate. The consulate folks rejected the visa with out any explanation. The interview officer claimed that my friend's brother and sis in law are potential immigrants. My friend is very disappointed and asked me if I know any alternatives.
I read some where that we can take senator's help in visitor visa requests. Is this true? If so, are there any cases that got approved because of senator's involvement? I heard some horrible stories about chennai consulate and I am not sure whether they consider senator's mail. Please guide me. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
