Request for further evidance ... question

My younger borther got the request for further evidance due to a conviction, although he was not charged. USCIS requested information regarding the matter. My lawyer told me that he had mailed the information.
I was expecting the case to be updatd on his portfolio. It has been 3 weeks and nothing is updated.
Can anyone tell me if I should expect the case to be updated saying that the information is received or just expect the decision from USCIS?

Please let me know.

Copper,

CIS sometimes does not update the case status online. If you call the 800 number, they have exactly the same information as your online status. So you may just want to wait.

However, I am confused about the case : How could he be convicted without charge ? Usually it is the opposite way - charged and then acquitted or dropped or convicted. Did your brother disclose this fact when applying for GC ?

yes that was confusing. Maybe he meant that he was arrested but not charged?

haah, sorry I just realized what I wrote. He was convincted for something silly and the case was dropped. Nothing major.

Please go to the county courthouse and pay $10 to get a record. It will show the date of arrest, conviction detail. sentence imposed, etc.

They requested these for everyone who has been arrested.... Yes, my cousin got one because he was arrested and stayed in jail overnight for traffic violation. On the record, it shows that he was convicted of "speeding over 5 mph but less than 10 mph", sentenced "50 dollars" and then "paid in full plus surcharge" (Isn't that silly?) They approved him right away after this damn RFE.

Hope this helps.
