Request for evidence RFE after naturalization interview

I attended my naturalization interview and was given "Attachment to Form N-14" to provide proof of continuous residence. I need to provide bank/credit card statements from 2008 to present. Do I have to print individual statements for each of the 12 months for 5 years? (This could be well over 100+ pages).

I called my bank hoping I could get a single combined transaction type statement for each year, but they do not offer this. They say I have to print each monthly statement.
 
They won't take the time to look at dozens of statements. The important statements are the months when you were outside the US for long trips (in the cover letter, relate those statements to the long trips you took). Outside of that you can provide a statement for once every 4 or 5 months.

What is the reason they are asking you to provide this information. How long have you been out of the country?
