Request for clarification on EB2 category from Form I-140

Hi all,

My company attorneys filed for my I-140, I-485, and other documents recently. They received the receipt notices from the CSC a couple of days ago. On the receipt notice for the I-140, under Notice Type, it says 'Section: Skilled Worker or Professional. Sec. 203(b)(3)(A) (i) or (ii)'. Can someone please clarify whether this is the appropriate section for classification under the EB2 category.

When my employer/ attorney had filed the I-140, they had selected option 'd' under 'Part 2, Petition Type' on the form which states that the petition is for 'A member of the professions holding an advanced degree or an alien of exceptional ability (who is NOT seeking a National Interest Waiver).' I am not sure whether this has been appropriately entered into the system at the CSC - any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and best wishes.

Dear gp111 and simranb -

Thank you very much for your inputs. I appreciate it. I think I will have to follow-up with my attorneys and ask them to get this corrected. My application was clearly submitted under EB2 with the necessary supporting documents, LC approval, work exp. letters, and the job offered requiring a Masters degree. This seems to be an error on part of the CSC in entering the information from the form I-140 into their system.

Thanks again and best wishes.
