Request for additional evidence or information?? Now what??

Hi,

I filed all my papers normally, had one setback because of a wrong name on a check, and well, thought everything was going smoothly apart from that (though my EAD seems to be taking quite some time).
Now my status has been updated, with some mistakes online (wrong receipt date), after I got my fingerprints done.

My status now says "we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed."

I sent everything I had with my applications, and everything they requested. I am married to a US Citizen, and I've lived in two different countries before this one.

Has anyone received a notice like this?? What is it for and how long is this going to set my applications back??

Please, anyone with any info, would be of a lot of help....

An RFE (Request For Additional Evidence) is not uncommon. You'll just have to wait for the actual notice to see what they think is missing from your application materials.
