report harasment to the police will affect GC?

I have been thinking about filing a report at the local police station because my ex girlfriend is harassing me. She has some mental issues. I don't want to get her in trouble but want to report the thing for my own safety.

I am also in the process of getting my GC through the DV lottery next month. Does anyone know how could this affect my GC application if at all?

No.
Its your right to report issues to the police.
Your GC process is a total different thing.

The only way I see this affecting you is if YOU are the harraser.
