Dear Great Forum Member

Any one in this great Forum has an idea what is the meaning of preliminary processing (I-485) of above application or petition has been completed, now it has been transferred to Dallas District office. My question "What is the difference of preliminary processing and for further processing".

my case which was also transferred has been scheduled for an interview on 6/21. It was transferred in Feb.
when i enquired at the dallas office, they said they are doing a background check which would take abt 6-9 months.
So just wait 3-5 months and you will get an interview call

How to contact the Dallas District office to find out the status of my case, which has been transferred on 12/19/2003? Any phone or FAX number?
 
No point trying to contact them..they will work on their own pace and will not divuldge any info..
So just chill until you get the interview notice...If you live n the Dallas area, u might want to stop by..but no guarantee they will give any meaningful info
