Question:
Ron,
Its been a month since we have seen a I-485 approval. How much longer would it take ? Any Update ?

Answer:
I am starting to think that this is going to go on longer that anyone thought. First, the INS explicitly denied that there was any "halt" or "pause" in adjudications. Now they are saying that there is a temporary stoppage. The last time they did this, there were no AOS adjudications for almost a year.

Hate to sound like a wet blanket

But this waiting period of yours is nothing new.
Ask any of the the older guys in this board and they would reminiscence about the damn waiting period for the current date to budge. Till the flood gates opened in June 2001, it was a hellish period just trying to see if the dates moved from 1996, then to 97 and so on.
Most of you are lucky to reach this far without having to spend almost one to two years after I-140 clearence.
Take it in your stride.
It's all in the game.
Relax and the time would come when you too would be a GC holder.
GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS.
