Dear friends,

Want to share some information also hope you can give me some answers for my situation:

I send email inquiring my case status to CSC. The email replay is:

"The I-485 fingerprints have expired. You will be mailed a fingerprint
appointment when the ASC in your area has appointments available. Once the fingerprints clear, the files will be processed."

I have already done my 2rd FP(code 2) at January, 2005. - Will this expire?

My assumption is as soon as FP expires, they will send you another FP notice immediatly? But the email sounds that they will wait(for an uncertain amount of time) before they send out the FP notice. Which way is correct?

Thanks

The FP results are only good for 15 months. So yes, they have expired..

The difference between immediately and in an uncertain amount of time can be explained by your local ASC high workload. Hang in there, you should get your FP appointment letter soon.

Actually, the 'difference' is more that USCIS when they touch the case the next time and realize they need FP, will call you in for FP. They won't send out automatic notices just because the previous prints have expired. It may take a couple of months. In my case FP expired beginning of May and I got scheduled for new FP end of July.

Just want to update the folks interested in this thread:

Today both me and my wife received FP notice(code 1) scheduled for mid-Oct. I will update you about how it goes.
