I got a reply from Congressman Frank Wolf's (VA - 10th District) about my wife's case.

According to them her case has been put on a 60 day hold pending security clearence. They said that we should get in touch with their office in 3 weeks if we dont hear from BCIS till then.


My wifes series is EAC-02-062-51XXX and her RD is Nov 23, 2001

how long did it take for this congressman's office to reply?

how did you contact them? Mail, Fax, went in person?

It takes the congressman's office 3 days to reply.

I faxed them a letter with all detials and dates and called them a day after that to which they said they have received my requests and they will get in touch with me within 3 working days.




I called the FBI this afternoon giving my wife's A number and according to them they sent the 2nd fingerprint results back to BCIS on Aug 15th. Is there any other security check also there other than the finger print?

If finger print is the only check then i wonder why her application is still on hold? :confused:

FBI sends the FP results after checking with FBI database(name check). Yes, after getting the FBI results, now-a-days BCIS also does other security check/background Check with other Federal agencies and sometimes with their consulate office in the country of origin.

I think , I see some similarity between your case & mine.
It will be more clear & I will explain....Can you please tell me your 1st FP date, 2nd FP date (actual & scheduled ) and ND date...
