Rent Payments and Pay Stubs

I am gathering the rent payments and my pay stubs for the past 5 years, and a couple of questions have come up.

What documents do I need to show that I have been paying my rent? I have the rent stubs, but I have misplaced some. What should I do to address the missing ones?

I also have some pay stubs from my job that I cannot find. What should/ can I do in that case?

For context: I have been living and working at the same places for more than 5 years.

Were you abroad for over 6 months in the past 5 years? If not, you need neither rent payments nor paystubs. I brought to the interview my tax transcripts and rental contracts (as I bought a home later, I also brought a couple of recent mortgage statements), and even those documents were kind of an overkill. Instead of paystubs, you can bring your W-2 forms for the past 5 years (highly unlikely you'll be asked for those).
