Hi there,
My husband's H1B is expiring on Sep 24, 2014, therefore we need to apply for renewal. My husband's employer applied for permanent labor certification last year and we are waiting for their decision, but as I said we still need to renew our H1 visas. Since the whole GC process is really expensive (about $20,000), just want to find out whether it would be a good idea to apply for renewal/extension without using the immigration lawyer, just to save some money. Could this affect the chances to have our visas extended? Any experiences or info on this matter are highly appreciated. Thanks.
