My EAD is renewed so fast and interesting twist is ,new EAD applicable date starts after my current EAD expires.
Applied EAD (Renewing) on Oct 10th, got finger notice for 20th Oct, approved on Oct 23, received card on 31st, showing dates 12/20/2006 - 12/19/2007.
My current EAD expiring 20/19/2006..

I am not sure this is new policy or everybody getting the same way?
Anyways its new to me..

Hope this helps

This how it has been for me. I received my 3rd EAD in Augurst which has the same month and day as the previous ones without loss of any dates. Not sure about others. May be this is Service Center specific.

This is not a new policy. I am on 3rd EAD, it happened this way all the time for me. It is a correct policy to be followed. But I read that there are date issues for many mainly due to mistakes by uscis.

It seems USCIS is becoming more organized with fewer mistakes.

My 2nd EAD which was approved in May by the VSC is valid for one year after the approval date, not one year after the expiration of the first one, thereby causing me to lose two months.

Apparently the different service centers had been applying different policies. Some would make the validity of the next one start from the end of the prior one, while others would start it from the approval date. The recent specialization and shuffling of responsibilities among the service centers may have resulted in the change mentioned by the original poster.

Award? Hardly ..

Read your epitaph and Mogambo became happy .. but this is not an award at all. This is something that should have been approved, with tons of apologies for the delays.

On the topic - am in the process for applying for the 6th EAD/AP and each year, I have lost a couple months. Nebraska. Yep. Yep. Regretfully Yep.
