Renewing my GC,please help me

Hi.Please give me an advise.I have a green card from june 1996 with 10
year validity period.I got my card in New York.My card expires june 2006.But the problem is that all the time from 1996 to now i didn`t live in USA but in mynative country Bulgaria.Because soon i want to come to live in USA and i
want to renew my green card because it expires,I search on the
Internet and find out that by the law:everybody who leaves USA should
come back in less in 1 year.The law says: after leaving USA,the
permanet resident should come back in less than 1 year!! But i never
know that,and now i`m scared if would i have some problems when i want
to come to USA? (i mean would i have problems in the port-of-entry? can I enter in the USA this time?)
And I want to ask you would i have problems when i try to renew the
green card because all this years i didn`t live in USA? Would that be
a problem of renewing my green card?
Please answer me and tell me some advices

Dude, ten years and only now you are thinking to put in use your GC? Personally, I think you have no chances. You cannot renew it, it is gone...
I do not think they will let you in at POE. They might, but they will definitly revoke your GC. I am not sure, what will happen...
Now I know if you were absent for more than year without permission, you could ask for SB visa (which is basically renewal of your GC). You do that at US embassy. But I am afraid you will not succeed.
Well this is just my opinion, maybe somebody will give you a better advice...
 
dude, what happen to u?? for all this years.call national customer service, and also talk to the embassy in ur native country before u make any attempt of coming over,personally i think is gonna be TOUGH.good luck
 
Thanks guys anyway, but I didn`t live in USA because of the decision of my parents not mine. So,if anyone have ehperience like my case,please tell me...
