Renewing AP while outside US

Folks,

Me and My spouse AP is expiring in 2 months. I am now in US and My wife is india and won't be returning for sometime to US.

a) What's the process to renew her AP while she's outside US, if not possible, is there any other way this can be done..


b) can I send the I-131 for both of us jointly .. is this okay ?

AP cannot be applied for renewal when one is outside US. One must have a valid AP or travel document while travelling outside US.
