renewal questions

My wife already has both employment card and advanced parole however we moved from dallas to houston and our lawyer is saying that he cannot follow the case to houston since his "jurisdiction" is only dallas. my wife's employment and advanced parole expires in Feb 2004 and I wanted to submit the renewal this month or latest Oct. to be sure we get the new ones in. Now should I hire another lawyer to submit the renewals??? I was quoted about 400.00 for just legal fees and plus the 250 for filling both of them.

what forms are needed for renewal? are they hard to fill out?

also how long is it taking to get the interview for residency? we filed on Dec of last year and still nothing.

thanks

Huh?

1.What is this supposed to mean? Immigration law is federal, so the lawyer can be located anywhere in the US and can still file application at any USCIS office.

2.I think it should be easy enough to file without lawyer.
They are all on the USCIS website: http://www.bcis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm
The form for EAD is I-765.

regarding point #1.. he says he cannot go to the interview with us since we have to move our case from dallas to houston office and he cannot attend the interview. So I want to hire another lawyer only for the interview. He said he will still follow the case.

also is the form I-131 the correct form to renew advanced parole? also are the photos required for renewal?

thanks!

Just spoke to a local lawyer here in houston and they will file both for 250.00 along with filing fees for 250.00... total 500.00 not bad IMO.. the only thing is that I hope we dont file and a week later get our interview... actually I do hope that happens because then we wont have to worry about it anymore!!!!!! but we will lose 500.00 in the process..

thanks again
