Renewal: Online or Paper Based?

I would like to know which is better for EAD renewal. Applying online or Applying Paper based. I have to renew my EAD and my service center is NSC.

I applied paper based. As we need to send supporting documents, I thought it will be convinient to send application, check and supporting docs all in one envelope.

even if online application is sent, supporting docs must be sent so why not sent it all in one package.
