Renewal of reentry permit
I have a valid "2 year" reentry permit (first time) and it expires in three months. I am currently outside USA studying in a foreign university. I will apply for one more reentry permit as a I finish the studies oversees in a year, a year and a half. I am returing back to USA to apply for a reentry permit (before the reentry permit expires) and wait for biometrics.
This is what it says, for the renewal of I-131 in the Instrunction of form I-131:
You can't apply for reentry permit:
" If you currently have a valid reentry permit, unless the past document has been returned to the USCIS, or you can prove it was lost".
Dose that mean that they accept your application for renewal if you return the previous Reentry permit when you apply for the renewal (lets say a month before the previous reentry permit expires), ???
Any suggestion on this issue????
