Please do a web search on alta-vista or infoseek sites on Indian Passport renewal
you should find web site with Instructions and downloadable forms.

I know for sure that there is a web site (do not remember) where you can download the application
and go from there.

good luck.

Hello,

This is your client Anil Levi\'s wife. I just have a question regarding
my parents. They came here on visitors visa and we renewed it three
times as they were waiting for their canada immigration and also for my sister\'s wedding. All the three times the extention got approved. This Febuary they applied for another extention and it is in procees. My Mom and Dad have 5 year multiple entry visitors visa, My question is can my Dad visit India for 15 days and be back safely.

Thanks in advance,
Sunilal.

I recently got my passport renewed. not a big deal. Go to the site http://www.indiacgny.org. Print the following form.
1) http://www.indiacgny.org/Affidavi.pdf
2) http://www.indiacgny.org/IdxCard.pdf
3) http://www.indiacgny.org/PPForm.PDF

the last form has a list of supporting documents required. roughly you will need 6 passport size pics, document porving ur status i.e. F1 , H1 etc and some other stuff.
I personally gave my documents to an agent and he charged me $60 for getting it renewed. You can also personally go to the indian consulate general and get it done within a day or so. Hope this help. Oh by the way i live in bethlehem , PA. The agent I gave my passport to is in edison.

Go directly to the consulate. I sent mine in by mail (registered) with an all paid registered reply package in it for the return of my passport. I got my passport back in 5 business days, with a call from the consulate office in NYC letting me know that my passport was on its way back.
