Renew Greencard - removing conditions

Hello,

I married a US Citizen in May 2006, and after all applications etc I received my greencard in March, 2007. Everything has been going great since getting the card, opening up many opportunities for us and we are happily settled in the USA.

However, my 2 year greencard is getting ever closer to expiration. My main concern is my drivers license, and ultimately job, is tied to my greencard expiration date. For renewal, I believe my process is to remove the 2 year conditional period. My own research shows that I should file 90 days before expiration, however this small window of time concerns me as without a new greencard or some kind of extension my license will be invalid and my job in jeopardy.

Has anyone experience of removing the 2 year condition? Should I file prior to the 90 days before expiration, or is this a relatively smooth process (considering the government is involved!).

With all the above in mind, can anyone confirm I am on the right track with renewing my greencard, and no other forms are required outside of I-751, so be filed within 90 days of my card expiration?

You can NOT file prior to the 90 days window.

But once you file, within those 90 days, you will receive a letter extending your status for an extra year... you can use that to continue working and get a new DL.

DMV doesnt know the difference between CPR, or LPR. Your license should be valid for 5 or like florida 7 yrs. They just see LPR.
