Hi,
I have completed my Master\'s degree and am currently on my optional practical training which expires in July 2002. I plan join school again for graduate studies in August 2002. The visa stamp on my passport has expired (May 2001). My I-94 states that I am legal here for duration of stay(D/S). Is there any way I can get my visa stamp renewed/restamped while in US. I know H1-B\'s can get their stamps renewed this way but an not sure if F-1\'s can, and how?

Regards,

Ajay.

I have the same problem....

I am an international student here in U.S and I have received my F-1 approval form from the INS a month ago. I have been trying to get some information regarding the fact thatI need to get my F-1 visa stamped on my passport and not to have it as an approval from the INS. But so far has been impossible to get any information like this, so if anyone here knows anything about the procedure I need to follow please help me.I appreciate your help.

Respectfully
AL

F1 visa revalidation is not done within US

That is why students often try Canada or Mexico to get visa stamp. With lots of changes occuring in INS the best option would be to take all documents and go to home country and apply in person. This is seen favorably and why risk rejection in Canada or Mexico?
