Renew EAD (OPT) that expires in 2 months OR just work as Citizen?

I am wondering how I can work still without suffering deportation or status changes, because I was unemployed for almost the whole year and just got a job offer 2 months before my EAD work permit expires.

I know that renewal of the EAD now is almost impossible, bc I believe that it must be done 120 days prior to expiration (?), if I am correct.
Can I still work for 2 months? I also assume that the EAD expired, bc I did not find work within the 90 day period after I received it ...

I have no funds to return to school in the fall, so my last option is to use the citizen checkbox on the I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) Form.

Any advice or warnings?

NOTE: I understand the consequences for unauthorized work, so please, refrain from flaming.

I don't think you understand the consequences...
Marking the "citizen" checkbox makes you permanently ineligible to get a GC. It can get you banned for for life.
Claiming to be a US citizen when you are not would be the worst thing you can do.
NEVER NEVER NEVER do that.

If you understand that consequences, why are you bothering to post??? You should have left the US already since you can only be unemployed for 2 months on OPT...leave NOW! You've overstayed waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. You are facing a 10 year ban. Furthermore, you will likely need to provide documentation when you submit that I-9. Do you have a social security card that does not say ELIGIBLE TO WORK WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION???? Just stop being dishonest and leave. It's people like you who make it difficult for any other international student trying to get a job after school.

NEVER claim to be a citizen if you are not. Just checking the box won't cut it.

If you ever expect to have any kind of legal status in the US, you need to leave immediately as you are in violation of your visa and do not intend to return to school. You should realize that the DSO is required to report your non-attendance/ failure to enroll to ICE/DHS. The do seek out MIA students for detention and deportation.

Don't be stupid and ruin your possible future in the US by illegal acts!
