My mother, a permanent resident, has left US in December 27-2006. She was supposed to come in June 2007 but my father who is in India had sudden heart problems(engioplasty done) and due to which my mother has decided to stay in India for a little longer. She might not come back until next year.
Can she still apply for a reentry permit while staying outside on the grounds of my father's medical reasons or does she has to come back to US at any cost and then apply for reentry permit.
Any help will be really appreciated.
